Our founder, David Elyachar (AKA-Big Bob) began his floor covering career as a retail carpet salesman. He worked his way up to sales manager and eventually became a mill representative. These experiences afforded him extensive knowledge in all areas of the floor covering industry. During this early portion of David's career he was able to develop solid, influential contacts and personal relationships throughout the industry which has aided him in the development of Big Bob's Flooring Outlet of America, Inc.

Since 1984, Big Bob's has grown from a small carpet shop in Kansas City to a National Franchise chain with a presence of more than 50 franchise locations and 3 Corporate-owned stores in KC. Our unique 'Cash & Carry' franchise system offers a full array of flooring products including new carpet, laminate, vinyl, tile and wood at 'Outlet Prices'.
