I was born in born in 1942 in the city of Mashad, Iran.
I was raised in a family where my father and grandfather were in the Oriental rug business.
Being the first born my father would often take me with him on business trips and teach me all the knowledge he had of rugs, and I was immediately drawn to them.
I learned about Belouchs, Turkemans, Moods, Khorasans, Mashads and many more different types of rugs named after the cities they were made in.
My father's factory was in the city of Kerman.
I was raised in a family where my father and grandfather were in the Oriental rug business.
