Mete Mutlu, owner of Yoruk Rug Gallery has been working with Oriental rugs since 1989 starting in Istanbul, Turkey.
Moved to Chicago in 1994 to run an Oriental rug store for 8 years before opening his own gallery where now he is specializing in Authentic Antique and Vintage Oriental Tribal Rugs, Kilims and Textiles.
Offering expert restoration, repair, conservation, cleaning and appraisal services as well.

We provide expert hand cleaning using environmentally friendly products.
Rugs are hand-washed (in some instances hand-dry cleaned) on both sides.
Fringes are washed separately by hand.
All moisture is carefully extracted from the rug and it is dried in a temperature and humidity controlled environment.
The rug is then checked for any additional cleaning needs and/or deodorizing as necessary.
We also offer pickup and delivery services for your convenience.

We find them perfectly suitable to stuff and saw shut to use as floor cushions, decorative couch pillows or even beds for your pets.
Some of the larger ones are very comfortable to use as meditation cushions as well.
We know they make great Dog beds for your beloved pups as some of our clients would suggest.
We offer them empty and they are priced as is but we can arrange to have them stuffed and sewn shut on request for additional charge.
